The work addresses the content of the criminal offenses provided for in Act N° 18.892 on fishing and aquaculture and their respective penalty statutes, from a special part approach, taking into consideration the elements considered most important for the practice. Four criminal subgenres are identified in the regulation analyzed, and recognizing as the central axis the administrative-environmental regulation of hydrobiological species, with emphasis on those with economic-extractive aptitude, reviewing the intervention that criminal law makes in these matters, dispensing direct protection and mediate on such components of the environment (legal interest protected).El trabajo aborda el contenido de los tipos delictivos previstos en la Ley N° 18.892 de pesca y acuicultura y su respectivo estatuto de sanción, desde una aproximación de parte especial, habida consideración de los elementos que se consideran más importantes para la práctica. De ahí que se identifican cuatro subgéneros delictivos en la regulación analizada, y reconociendo como eje central la regulación administrativo-ambiental de las especies hidrobiológicas, con énfasis en aquellas con aptitud económico-extractiva, revisando la intervención que hace el derecho penal en estas materias, dispensando protección directa y mediata sobre tales componentes del medio ambiente (bien jurídico).
