dc.descriptionThe aim of this article is to show the discursive artifice and the social imaginary significations that make up the portrait of Cajeme in two biographies of the same character: Biografía de José María Leyva –Cajeme– written by Ramón Corral, and Cajeme. Novela de Indios, written by Armando Chávez Camacho. The first was written in 1887 from a historical perspective, and the latter published in 1948, from an aesthetic perspective. A hermeneutical analysis is made based on the ideas of Ricoeur, Gadamer, Koselleck, and White who studied the relationship between historical, philosophical, and literary discourses. Mostly, they focus their attention on the use of the narrative for the exposition of such discourses. At the end of this article, we can claim that both the historical and the literary discourses are embedded in acts, events, and social structures.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo parte de la pregunta ¿de qué manera se configuran los textos que legitiman imaginarios sociales sobre los indígenas en diferentes épocas? El objetivo es mostrar los recursos discursivos y las significaciones imaginarias sociales que conforman el retrato de Cajeme en dos textos: la Biografía de José María Leyva –Cajeme–, escrita por Ramón Corral en 1887, y Cajeme. Novela de indios, por Armando Chávez en 1948. Se hace un análisis hermenéutico apoyado en ideas de Ricoeur, Gadamer, Koselleck, y White quienes se han interesado en la estrecha relación que existe entre los discursos históricos, filosóficos y literarios y centran su atención en el uso de la narrativa para su exposición. El artículo afirma que tanto el discurso histórico como el literario están incrustados en actos, acontecimientos y estructuras sociales.es-ES
