dc.descriptionThis paper will analyze the trial issued by the Supreme Court of Justice of Chile in the case entitled «Operación Colombo: main episode» followed by the crimes of 16 detained and disappeared victims in the context of the set-up devised by the DINA to cover up their participation in those events. This case began its processing before the criminal justice system in 1998 with the first complaints filed against Augusto Pinochet Ugarte, processed by the Minister Juan Guzmán Tapia. Due to the number of victims and the extent of the process, the various episodes investigating the crimes committed began to divide with respect to a total of 119 victims, the most extensive operation of the repressive organs of the dictatorship. In the first part, the historical context of Operation Colombo will be analyzed, and then the most important aspects of the sentence handed down in relation to the intervention of the agents of the regime's secret police will be analyzed, and the developments that the trial provides in this sense. Finally, conclusions on the historical and legal importance of this judgment will be presented.en-US
dc.descriptionEn el presente trabajo se analizará el fallo dictado por la Corte Suprema de Justicia de Chile en el caso caratulado «Operación Colombo: episodio principal» seguido por los crímenes de 16 víctimas detenidas y desaparecidas en el contexto del montaje ideado por la DINA para encubrir su participación en aquellos hechos. Esta causa comenzó su tramitación ante la justicia criminal en el año 1998 con las primeras querellas presentadas contra Augusto Pinochet Ugarte, tramitadas por el Ministro Juan Guzmán Tapia. Dada la cantidad de víctimas y la extensión del proceso se comenzaron a desacumular los diversos episodios que investigaban los crímenes cometidos respecto de un total de 119 víctimas, el operativo más extenso de los órganos represivos de la dictadura. En una primera parte se analizará el contexto histórico de la Operación Colombo, para luego analizar los aspectos más importantes de la sentencia dictada en relación con la intervención de los agentes de la policía secreta del régimen, y los desarrollos que en ese sentido aporta el fallo. Finalmente se expondrán las conclusiones sobre la importancia histórica y jurídica de esta sentencia.es-ES
