With the incorporation of the concepts of mater and mythology, the Argentine philosopher León Rozitchner opens a new theoretical horizon in his work. However, this innovation generates a conceptual displacement that complicates the way in which he conceives political praxis. Throughout this article I will try to reconstruct the way in which Rozitchner faces this problem during the late writings of his work. To do so, I will first identify the link between the notions of mater and mythology. Once this is done, I will dwell more specifically on the concept of counter-violence, which allows Rozitchner to think the terms of political confrontation without falling into what he calls "the illusion of a politics without violence".Con la incorporación de los conceptos de mater y mitología, el filósofo argentino León Rozitchner abre un nuevo horizonte teórico en su obra. Sin embargo, esta innovación genera un desplazamiento conceptual que complejiza el modo en que concibe a la praxis política. A lo largo de este artículo intentaré recomponer el modo en que Rozitchner enfrenta este problema durante los escritos tardíos de su obra. Para ello, identificaré, en primer lugar, el vínculo que existe entre las nociones de mater y mitología. Una vez hecho esto, me detendré más específicamente en el concepto de contraviolencia, que le permite a Rozitchner pensar los términos del enfrentamiento político sin caer en lo que denomina “la ilusión de una política sin violencia”.
