A descriptive study about the content and context of the Dances of Death, an important exponent of Late Medieval Macabre Art. An analysis of its possible origins, motivations, symbolism and its diffusion throughout Europe. We will conclude this article by analyzing in depth the General Dance, the Spanish version of the Dance of Death.Un estudio descriptivo acerca del contenido y el contexto de las Danzas de la Muerte, importante exponente del Arte Macabro Bajomedieval. Un análisis acerca de sus posibles orígenes, motivaciones, simbolismos y su difusión por Europa. Concluiremos este artículo analizando en profundidad la Danza General, versión castellana de la Danza de la Muerte.
