dc.descriptionIntroduction: Moderate and late prematurity corresponds to more than 70% of the total number of premature babies worldwide and significantly affects infant morbidity and mortality. Various studies show a high risk of psychomotor, behavioral and height alterations, associated with non-monitoring during the early stages of development. In Chile, there is no monitoring plan or documented experiences in this regard. Objective: Determine and unify the evaluations and/or interventions that should be carried out on Moderate and Late Premature children. Methodology: Systematic Review from October 2023 to January 2024. Using PRISMA, 31 articles were selected. Results: There is a negative impact on neurological development due to not timely follow-up and intervention in late preterm infants, along with behavioral alterations and psychomotor problems. Discussion: the impact on neurological, weight, psychomotor development, among others, is discussed due to the lack of timely follow-up of the late preterm newborn. Conclusion: There is an impact on psychomotor, behavioral and body development that can be detected in time with adequate follow-up of moderate and late preterm infants. In Chile, evidence must be presented to strengthen public policy responding to a public health problem of national impact.en-US
dc.descriptionIntroducción: El prematuro moderado y tardío corresponde a más del 70% del total de prematuros a nivel mundial e inciden importantemente en la morbimortalidad infantil. Diversos estudios muestran un elevado riesgo de alteraciones psicomotoras, conductuales y pondoestaturales, asociadas a un no seguimiento durante sus primeras etapas de desarrollo. En Chile no existe un plan de seguimiento ni experiencias documentadas al respecto. Objetivo: Determinar y unificar las evaluaciones y/o intervenciones que se deberían realizar a los niños prematuros moderados y tardíos. Metodología: Revisión sistemática de octubre 2023 a enero 2024. Mediante metodología PRISMA, se seleccionaron 31 artículos. Resultados: Existe un impacto negativo en el desarrollo neurológico por el seguimiento e intervención no oportunas en los prematuros tardíos, junto con alteraciones conductuales y problemas psicomotores. Discusión: Se discute el impacto en el desarrollo neurológico, ponderal y psicomotor, entre otros, debido al seguimiento no oportuno del recién nacido prematuro tardío. Conclusión: Existe un impacto en el desarrollo psicomotriz, conductual y pondoestaturales que pueden ser detectado a tiempo con un seguimiento adecuado del prematuro moderado y tardío. En Chile debe presentarse la evidencia para fortalecer la política pública respondiendo a un problema de salud pública de impacto nacional.es-ES
