After an introduction where two aspects of Castro Rojas' work are highlighted -overcoming the relevant monodisciplinary research scheme and using an ad hoc tone to influence non-academic audiences- the interview is presented. Interweaving personal and professional dimensions, it unfolds in three sections. The first addresses her beginnings in the academic world and the impact of the Dictatorship; the second discusses her research, focused on areas in northern Chile; finally, aspects of teaching, current situation, and her present work and future projects are considered, interrupted by her passing in June 2022.en-US

Luego de una introducción en donde se remarcan dos aspectos del quehacer de Castro Rojas -la superación pertinente del esquema monodisciplinar de investigación y el uso de un tono ad hoc para influir en audiencias no académicas-, se da paso a la referida entrevista. Entrelazando dimensiones personales y profesionales, tres son las secciones en que esta se despliega. La primera aborda sus inicios en el mundo académico y el impacto de la Dictadura; la segunda trata sus investigaciones, centradas en áreas del norte de Chile; finalmente, son considerados aspectos de docencia, coyuntura, y su trabajo presente y aquel que proyectaba, interrumpidos por su fallecimiento en junio de 2022.es-ES
