The Revista de Psicología, in this thematic section, hopes to contribute to the debate and discussion through three articles that explore different aspects: on the one hand, how the coup d'état and the civil-military dictatorship impacted on the forms of government that were being forged at the University of Chile, particularly in the Department of Psychology; on the other hand, and from the perspective of psychologists graduated or in training between 1973 and 1990 in Chile, on the ethical-political implications of the practice of torture advised by psychology professionals in dictatorial times; and finally, in the field of the transmission of trauma from the experience of Chilean women in exile in Europe.La Revista de Psicología, en esta sección temática, espera aportar al debate y discusión a través de tres artículos que indagan en distintas aristas: por un lado, en cómo el golpe de Estado y la dictadura cívico-militar impactó en las formas de gobierno que se estaban fraguando en la Universidad de Chile, en particular, en el Departamento de Psicología; por otro, y desde la perspectiva de psicólogos egresados o en formación entre 1973 y 1990 en Chile, en las implicancias ético-políticas de la práctica de la tortura asesorada por profesionales de la psicología en tiempos dictatoriales; y, finalmente, en el campo de la transmisión del trauma a partir de la experiencia de mujeres chilenas exiliadas en Europa.
