| dc.description | The memories of the internal armed conflict in Peru, despite the ongoing and tense debates surrounding the issue, remain an unresolved matter for the families of those who were kidnapped, detained, and disappeared. These demands have transcended public spaces, gained relevance and adapting to the political context, serving as a mechanism for social reclamation and transitional justice. In Ayacucho, the Peruvian city that was most affected by the conflict, the recent memories are manifested through the appropriation of places and territories, revealing a profound cultural backdrop. The forms of memory in this region not only reflect the past but also enrich the cultural heritage with an additional layer of value derived from collective memory. This approach, still relatively unexplored, opens new pathways for understanding how the memories of conflict contribute to the construction and valorization of cultural heritage in the region. The goal of the study is to identify how recent memory constructs a layer of heritage valuation, such as the Plaza Mayor in Ayacucho. | dc.description | La memoria del conflicto armado interno en Perú, a pesar de los debates en constante tensión que rodean el tema, sigue siendo una deuda pendiente con los familiares de los secuestrados, detenidos y desaparecidos. Estas demandas han trascendido a los espacios públicos, adquiriendo relevancia y adaptándose a la coyuntura política, funcionando como un mecanismo de reivindicación social y justicia transicional. En Ayacucho, la ciudad peruana más afectada por el conflicto, esta memoria reciente se manifiesta a través de la apropiación de lugares y territorios, revelando un profundo trasfondo cultural. Las formas de memoria en esta región no solo reflejan el pasado, sino que también enriquecen el patrimonio cultural con una capa de valor derivada de la memoria colectiva. Este enfoque, aún poco explorado, abre nuevas vías para comprender cómo la memoria del conflicto contribuye a la construcción y el valor del patrimonio cultural en la región. El objetivo del estudio es identificar cómo la memoria reciente construye una capa de valoración patrimonial como la Plaza Mayor de Ayacucho. Se emplearon metodologías cualitativas que describen las prácticas y manifestaciones de la comunidad que sirven como un registro inicial que incluye tanto los antecedentes históricos como la repercusión actual. | es-ES |
