dc.descriptionCollective action deployed during the Chilean constituent process (2019-2022) is analyzed in three territories with environmental injustice: Alto del Carmen, Puchuncaví and Alto Biobío. Using qualitative methodologies, activists’ accounts are collected after the installation of the Convention, after the presentation of the Constitutional Draft and after the Exit Plebiscite. The results show that the previous conflicts favoured the deployment of diverse repertoires at different scales, with the relevance of institutional channels, and that new actors emerged during the period, young people and women, who are renewing the collective action. After a cycle of hope and satisfaction, followed by disillusionment due to the rejection of the Proposal for a New Constitution, activism in the territories is challenged by the need to play a more informative role and dialogue in contexts with heterogeneous positions, and where the intergenerational aspect is reinforced as a motivating principle in the present and towards the future.en-US
dc.descriptionSe analiza la acción colectiva desplegada durante el proceso constituyente chileno (2019- 2022) en tres territorios con injusticia ambiental: Alto del Carmen, Puchuncaví y Alto Biobío. Mediante metodologías cualitativas, se recogen los relatos de activistas tras la instalación de la Convención, después de la presentación del Borrador Constitucional y posterior al Plebiscito de salida. Los resultados arrojan que los conflictos previos favorecen el despliegue de diversos repertorios a distintas escalas, con relevancia de las vías institucionales; y que en el período surgen nuevos actores, jóvenes y mujeres, que renuevan la acción colectiva. Tras un ciclo de esperanza y satisfacción, seguido de desilusión por el rechazo a la Propuesta de Nueva Constitución, el activismo en los territorios se ve desafiado por la necesidad de ejercer un rol más informativo y de diálogo en contextos con posiciones heterogéneas, y donde lo intergeneracional se ve reforzado en cuanto principio motivador en el presente y hacia el futuro.es-ES
