dc.descriptionThe last four years have meant a series of events in Chile of great relevance and impact on social relations. In October 2019 there was a popular revolt that culminated in an agreement for a new Constitution. In 2020, the COVID 19 pandemic became known and spread. In 2021, presidential elections were held, while in 2022 there was a constitutional plebiscite. All these events have been important parts of a more complex sociopolitical process that has had multiple manifestations. In this article we analyze the perceptions, interpretations and meanings that union leaders from the southern regions of the country have formulated about this process, as well as their expectations, criticisms and analysis of the implications of these ongoing sociohistorical changes for labor relations and work.en-US
dc.descriptionLos últimos cuatro años han significado en Chile una serie de eventos de gran relevancia e incidencia en las relaciones sociales. En octubre de 2019 se vivió una revuelta popular que culminó con un acuerdo por una nueva Constitución. En 2020 se conoció y extendió la pandemia del COVID 19. En 2021 se realizaron elecciones presidenciales; mientras que en 2022 se realizó un plebiscito constitucional. Todos estos hechos han sido partes importantes de un proceso sociopolítico más complejo que ha tenido múltiples manifestaciones. En este artículo analizamos las percepciones, interpretaciones y sentidos que dirigentes sindicales de regiones del sur del país se han formulado respecto a este proceso, así como sus expectativas, críticas y análisis de las implicancias de estos cambios sociohistóricos en curso para las relaciones laborales y el trabajo.es-ES
