dc.descriptionThe difficult worldwide situation has sparked grave concerns about human health and well-being that simultaneously affect multiple realms, including urban planning. The following research seeks to understand the relationship between green infrastructure inserted in the built environment and the impact on the inhabitant´s mental health, considering the aspects of quality, proximity, and accessibility. From the physical structure and biological basis to social and political implications, the research wants to provide further evidence that conditions human´s interaction with nature and how this could affect mental health. Like the right to access better urban areas, housing, amenities and job opportunities, this article aims to also enhance the right to better and democratic access to green infrastructure considering mental health and well-being as an urban planning concern. en-US
dc.descriptionLa difícil situación mundial ha suscitado graves preocupaciones sobre la salud y el bienestar humanos que afectan simultáneamente a múltiples ámbitos, incluida la planificación urbana. La siguiente investigación busca comprender la relación entre la infraestructura verde insertada en el entorno construido y el impacto en la salud mental de los habitantes, considerando los aspectos de calidad, proximidad y accesibilidad. Desde la estructura física y las bases biológicas hasta las implicaciones sociales y políticas, la investigación quiere aportar más evidencia que condiciona la interacción del ser humano con la naturaleza y cómo esto podría afectar la salud mental mostrando diferentes escenarios y situaciones urbanas. Al igual que el derecho a acceder a mejores áreas urbanas, vivienda, servicios y oportunidades laborales, esta investigación pretende también mejorar el derecho a un acceso mejor y democrático a la infraestructura verde considerando la salud mental y el bienestar como una preocupación de planificación urbana.es-ES
