This article systematizes a process of social community mapping carried out with Mapuche and non-Mapuche women, mainly rural and urban inhabitants from the communes of Nueva Imperial and Araucanía region, developed in the year 2022. For several months, the team of the Health Equity Observatory, according to gender and Mapuche people from the University of La Frontera in Temuco, produced participatory dialogues with feminist women leaders and other women's organizations, where built maps of their sociopolitical and organizational experiences in the territory were produced. Through this technique, various complexities of the community reality of the territories inhabited were evidenced by the women, as their relationship with the environment, and the sexist barriers that they must overcome in their daily truths, experiences, and knowledge scarcely valued in the fields academically and institutional in the region.El presente artículo sistematiza un proceso de mapeo social comunitario realizado con mujeres mapuche y no mapuche habitantes mayoritariamente rurales y urbanas de comunas de Nueva Imperial, región de la Araucanía, desarrollado durante los meses de marzo a diciembre de 2022. Durante varios meses, el equipo del Observatorio de Equidad en Salud según Género y Pueblo Mapuche, de la Universidad de La Frontera de Temuco, realizó diálogos participativos con mujeres dirigentes de organizaciones feministas y de mujeres, donde se construyeron mapas de sus experiencias sociopolíticas y organizacionales en el territorio. A través de la utilización de esta técnica se evidenciaron diversas complejidades de la realidad comunitaria de los territorios que habitan las mujeres, su relación con el medio ambiente y las barreras sexistas que deben sortear en sus realidades cotidianas, experiencias y saberes escasamente valorados en los ámbitos académicos e institucionales de la región.
