| dc.description | The author presents the experience of the Popular Library of “Bella Vista Popular” on the city of Cordoba, Argentina, installed in a neighborhood built by industrial workers who bought the land in installments in the 1920s, and built their houses doing the work themselves during the weekends. The library opened in the winter of 1990, driven by a dozen survivors of the dictatorship, who made a beautiful and patient work with the children of the neighborhood, whose parents had never entered a library. Currently the activities are coordinated by seventy grantees workshop conductors and twenty-eight volunteers. | en-US |
| dc.description | La autora presenta la experiencia de la Biblioteca Popular de Bella Vista Popular de la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina, instalada en un barrio construido por obreros industriales que compraron los terrenos en cuotas en la década de 1920, y construyeron sus casas haciendo trabajo de albañiles los fines de semana. La biblioteca abrió sus puertas en el invierno de 1990 impulsada por una docena de sobrevivientes de la dictadura, quienes realizaron un hermoso y paciente trabajo con los niños del sector, de quienes sus padres nunca habían entrado en una biblioteca. Actualmente las actividades son coordinadas por setenta talleristas becados y veinte y ocho voluntarios. | es-ES |
