Representar la violencia sufrida durante una dictadura es una tarea compleja, pues en ella confluyen distintas miradas, actores y vivencias. Para esta tarea, Carlos Soto Román utiliza el documento y el archivo para crear su trilogía artística que transita entre la poesía conceptual y las artes visuales. Esta trilogía se conforma por Chile Project [Re-clasified] (2013), 11 (2017) y Tercera Estrofa (2023). En estas obras el poeta cuestiona la forma en que se recuerdan los hechos de violencia y, a la vez, plantea una nueva forma de rememorar el pasado; es decir, entra en disputa con el discurso oficial para proponer una mirada que se adapta a las nuevas subjetividades presentes en la sociedad. ABSTRACT: Representing the violence suffered during a dictatorship is a complex task, as it brings together different points of view, actors and experiences. For this task, Carlos Soto Román uses the document and the archive to create his artistic trilogy that transits between conceptual poetry and visual arts. This trilogy is formed by Chile Project [Re-classified] (2013), 11 (2017) and Tercera Estrofa (2023). In these works, the poet questions the way in which the facts of violence are remembered and, at the same time, proposes a new way of remembering the past; that is to say, he enters into dispute with the official discourse to propose a look that adapts to the new subjectivities present in society.
