This article would like to offer some clearly theological considerations about false mysticism, with the intention of contributing to the combat against abuses of power in the Church, in particular, against those that can occur in the area of the spiritual life. Both current investigations into cases of abuse and the history of the Church itself bear witness to a series of dangers, aberrations and perversions of the most genuine Christian spiritual experience. Apart from seriously damaging the conscience of the victims, these always possible risks also affect the doctrinal veracity and objectivity of the faith and, in themselves, can rightly be considered among the delicta graviora foreseen by canonical penal law. Such a type of abuse — in addition to falsifying the spiritual life and violating the freedom of the person — deforms and adulterates doctrine by denying God before the conscience of the victim. In this sense, it is a gravius delicto that attempts contra primum et secundum Decalogi præceptum.Este artículo quisiera ofrecer algunas consideraciones netamente teológicas acerca del falso misticismo, con la intención de contribuir a la lucha contra los abusos de poder en la Iglesia, en particular, contra aquellos que pueden darse en el ámbito de la vida espiritual. Tanto las investigaciones actuales ante los casos de abuso como la historia misma de la Iglesia dan testimonio de una serie de peligros, derivas y perversiones en la experiencia espiritual cristiana más genuina. Además de dañar gravemente la conciencia de las víctimas, dichos riesgos siempre posibles afectan también a la veracidad doctrinal y a la objetividad de la fe y, en sí mismos, pueden ser contemplados con razón entre los delicta graviora previstos por el derecho penal canónico. Semejante tipo de abuso —además de falsear la vida espiritual y quebrantar la libertad de la persona— deforma y adultera la doctrina negando a Dios ante la conciencia de la víctima. En ese sentido, se trata de un delito calificable de gravius que atenta contra primum et secundum Decalogi præceptum.
