The present article provides a concise, testimonial description of the main milestones and events that took place during the 2000–2024 period related to the history of activities and projects carried out by the group known as LiceU.Chile (Scenic Research and Creation Laboratory of the University of Chile). This collective was founded in 2000 by Professor Abel Carrizo-Muñoz within the Department of Theater at the University of Chile’s Faculty of Arts (DETUCH). This academic working group was established at the beginning of the 21st century in a free, autonomous, and voluntary manner, thus creating one of the first initiatives within an academic unit at a university to propose that research processes could and should be connected to creation processes in an interdisciplinary manner, during a period when such activities were not yet considered significant academic functions in the university setting. Evidence of this is that, at that time, no basic academic administrative structures had been developed to guide, supervise, and support initiatives like the ones we are describing, nor were there financial resources available to sustain them. Among the extensive and diverse academic work conducted in the first quarter of the 21st century, the generation of the scenic poetics known nationally and internationally as post-theater (pt-t) stands out. Some of whose aesthetic characteristics are explained in the respective Manifesto, included in this article.El presente artículo consiste en una descripción sintética, de carácter testimonial, de algunos de los principales hitos y acontecimientos acaecidos durante el periodo 2000-2024 relativos al historial de actividades y proyectos realizados por el Núcleo conocido como LiceU.Chile (Laboratorio de Investigación y Creación escénica de la Universidad de Chile), agrupación formada, a partir del año 2000, por el académico Abel Carrizo-Muñoz al interior del Departamento de Teatro de la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de Chile (DETUCH). Este colectivo de trabajo académico se constituye a comienzos del siglo XXI de manera libre, autónoma y voluntaria, generando así una de las primeras iniciativas al interior de una unidad académica universitaria en plantearse que los procesos de Investigación podían y debían vincularse a los procesos de Creación de modo interdisciplinar, en una época donde estas actividades no constituían funciones académicas relevantes en el ámbito universitario. Prueba de esto es que en esos años no se habían creado las mínimas estructuras de administración académica, capaces de orientar, supervisar y acompañar iniciativas como las que estamos dando cuenta, ni menos se contaban con recursos económicos para sostenerlas. De entre una extensa y diversa labor académica realizada en el 1° cuarto del siglo XXI, se puede relevar la generación de una poética escénica conocida nacional e internacionalmente como post-teatro (pt-t), algunas de cuyas características estéticas se explicitan en el Manifiesto respectivo, que se incluye en este artículo.
