dc.descriptionI have had the privilege of reading the book "Duty to execute contracts in good faith. Interpretation as normative imputation, integration as distribution of unforeseen risks, and article 1546 of the Civil Code", by Ricardo Quezada Fuentes, professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Chile. It is a work which, after a study of the origin and evolution of good faith, as well as the background of article 1546 of the Chilean Civil Code, It provides an interesting approach to the way in which it operates in interpreting and integrating contracts. I would now like to make a brief introduction to the work, in addition to making some general comments. I believe that this is a necessary exercise, since, as I shall try to show, Professor Quezada’s book is destined to serve as an obligatory reference work for the study of contractual good faith.en-US

Interpretación como imputación normativa, integración como distribución de riesgos imprevistos, y el artículo 1546 del Código Civil”, del profesor de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Chile, Ricardo Quezada Fuentes. Se trata de una obra que, tras un estudio del origen y evolución de la buena fe, así como de los antecedentes del artículo 1546 del Código Civil chileno, formula un interesante planteamiento en torno al modo en que ella opera en sede de interpretación y de integración de los contratos. A continuación, quisiera hacer una breve introducción a la obra, además de formular algunos comentarios generales. Creo que se trata de un ejercicio necesario, pues, como procuraré mostrar, el libro del profesor Quezada está llamado a servir como una obra de referencia obligada para el estudio de la buena fe contractual.es-ES
