The objective of this study was to investigate accessibility in rural tourist destinations for people with disabilities. A descriptive quantitative study was carried out through surveys. The results revealed moderate accessibility in general in the tourist destination studied, although variability was identified in the quality of accessibility, especially in the adapted facilities. Likewise, a moderate impact of inclusive tourism was observed on local economic development and on the perception of rural communities as accessible tourist destinations. Collaboration between local governments, nonprofit organizations, tourism businesses, and local communities was considered moderate. It is concluded that it is necessary to improve the uniformity and quality of the adapted facilities to guarantee a positive and equitable experience for all people. Furthermore, the potential of inclusive tourism to generate sustainable economic benefits and promote local economic development is highlighted.en-US
