This article, with a content review and consultation of primary documentary sources, intends to analyze the situation of women under the Franco regime, such as repression, structural changes, and concealment of the real situation of women in the period in Spain. The role of women's maternity and the different roles imposed or taken by them will be affected. We meet the "fallen" women who needed, both they and their offspring, the protection of the regime. The women who, since the Franco regime, promoted legal reforms in favor of certain rights and freedoms. And women who, within their dissidence against Francoism, kept feminism alive in hiding. Some of them were preparing for the advancements in the transition to democracy.Este artículo, con una revisión de contenidos y consulta de fuentes documentales primarias, pretende analizar la situación de las mujeres bajo el franquismo como represión, cambios estructurales y encubrimiento de la situación real de las mujeres en el mencionado periodo en España. Se incidirá en el papel de la maternidad de las mujeres y los distintos papeles impuestos o tomados por estas. Nos encontramos a las mujeres “caídas” que necesitaban, tanto ellas como su descendencia, la tutela del régimen. Las mujeres que desde el franquismo impulsaron reformas legales en favor de ciertos derechos y libertades. Y mujeres que dentro de su disidencia al franquismo mantuvieron el feminismo vivo en la clandestinidad. Algunas de ellas fueron preparando los adelantos que se producirían en la transición a la democrática.
