This paper analyzes the uniformity of the work carried out by the Drops of Milk (Gotas de Leche) of the National Children's Board from a scientific standpoint and directed by the medical community in the case of Santiago (Chile). Based on the history of health, this paper analyzes newspaper sources such as the Almanaque del Patronato Nacional de la Infancia and institutional sources such as memories, regulations, statutes of the National Children's Board and minutes of the First and Second National Congress of Drops of Milk (Gotas de Leche). In an urban space, doctors popularized knowledge of childcare to teach mothers how to take care of their children, and so the medical consultations constituted strong control spaces that were complemented by the strong oversight of the visiting ladies and the women social visitors.Este trabajo analiza la uniformidad de la labor de las Gotas de Leche del Patronato Nacional de la Infancia desde una perspectiva científica y dirigida por la comunidad médica en el caso de Santiago. A partir de la historia de la salud, este trabajo analiza fuentes hemerográficas como el Almanaque del Patronato Nacional de la Infancia y fuentes institucionales como memorias, reglamentos, estatutos del Patronato Nacional de la Infancia y actas del Primer y Segundo Congreso Nacional de Gotas de Leche. En un espacio urbano, los médicos comunicaron los conocimientos de puericultura para enseñar a las madres cómo cuidar a sus hijos, por lo que las consultas médicas constituyeron fuertes espacios de control que se complementaron con la supervigilancia de las señoras visitadoras y de las visitadoras sociales.
