dc.descriptionThe present article adds to the recent efforts of historical research aiming to advance new interpretations of neoliberalism in the Latin American region to understand its characteristics, dynamics, and global significance. In particular, the text explores the exchanges between the Centro de Estudios sobre la Libertad (CEL) led by the Argentine Alberto Benegas Lynch and the Instituto de Investigaciones Sociales y Económicas (IISE) commanded by the Mexican Gustavo Velasco. Through the analysis of the dissemination of CEL publications by the IISE in Mexico, intra-regional circulation of neoliberal ideas are investigated, as well as the tactics employed by these organizations to articulate a network of neoliberal actors and institutions in Latin America.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo contribuye a los esfuerzos recientes de investigación histórica que buscan desarrollar nuevas interpretaciones del neoliberalismo en América Latina para comprender sus características, dinámicas e importancia a nivel global. En particular, el texto explora los intercambios entre el Centro de Estudios sobre la Libertad (CEL) del argentino Alberto Benegas Lynch y el Instituto de Investigaciones Sociales y Económicas (IISE) comandado por el mexicano Gustavo Velasco. A través del análisis de la difusión de las publicaciones del CEL por parte del IISE en México, se investigan las estrategias de circulación intrarregional de las ideas neoliberales, así como las tácticas empleadas por estas organizaciones para articular una red de actores e instituciones neoliberales en América Latina.es-ES
