The text consists of a rewrite of the paper presented at the Colloquium on Performing Arts and Theater Studies held in January 2025 at GAM. Within the framework of a panel that invited reflection on the relationship between theater and contingency, the text proposes a preamble based on a story by Eduardo Galeano that invites us to consider the historicity and political nature of theater. It then unfolds five speculative topics that link theater and: events, world, era, ideology, and history.El texto consiste en una reescritura de la ponencia presentada en el Coloquio de Estudios Escénicos y Teatrales realizado en enero de 2025 en GAM. En el marco de una mesa que invitaba a reflexionar sobre la relación entre teatro y contingencia, el texto propone un preámbulo a partir de un cuento de Eduardo Galeano que invita a pensar la historicidad y politicidad del teatro para desplegar, a continuación, cinco tópicos en forma de especulación que vinculan teatro y: acontecimiento, mundo, época, ideología e historia.
