dc.descriptionThe objective of this study is to investigate the prevalence of different types of gender-based violence (GBV) in a Faculty of Psychology and to understand their characteristics according to gender identity, faculty membership group, and training on gender issues. A cross-sectional descriptive quantitative empirical study was conducted. A self-administered questionnaire was applied to the entire educational community. The results showed that GBV based on gender identity and/or sexual orientation is the most prevalent, both among women and other gender identities. Sexual violence is the second most reported type. Higher levels of training on gender issues correspond to a greater identification of GBV. This work contributes to making visible the existence of this structural problem in a university educational community and provides empirical evidence of the importance of gender perspective training in the prevention of GBV.en-US
dc.descriptionEl objetivo de este  trabajo es investigar la prevalencia de los diferentes tipos de violencias de género (VG) en una Facultad de Psicología, y conocer sus características según identidad de género, claustro de pertenencia y formación en temas de género. Se realizó un estudio empírico cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo transversal. Se aplicó un cuestionario autoadministrado destinado a toda la comunidad educativa. Los resultados mostraron que la VG por identidad de género y/u orientación sexual es la más prevalente, tanto en mujeres como en otras identidades de género. Las violencias sexuales son las segundas más reportadas. A mayor nivel de formación en temáticas de género hay una mayor identificación de las VG. Este trabajo constituye un aporte a visibilizar la existencia de esta problemática estructural en una comunidad educativa universitaria y proporciona evidencia empírica de la importancia de la formación en perspectiva de género en la prevención de las VG.es-ES
