dc.descriptionThe Chinchorro archaeological and cultural heritage in Arica and Parinacota (Chile) is inserted into a complex network of social scenarios tense because of its designation as a World Heritage Site (2021). This highlights the need to qualitatively investigate the conflicts expressed in the field of social and symbolic relations around heritage, with the aim of generating coherent management with the various territorial realities. Through an ethnographic and (auto)ethnographic strategy, an analysis of the heritage processes embedded in the region is carried out, based on the experience of different agents. A critical approach is emphasized, which addresses the concepts of development and heritage as ethnocentric configurations that are resignified at the territorial level. Four areas of discussion are proposed that single out the regional experience, allowing a link to heritage as a resource for development from a sustainable and participatory perspective.en-US
dc.descriptionEl patrimonio arqueológico y cultural Chinchorro en Arica y Parinacota (Chile) se inserta en una compleja red de escenarios sociales y significados tensionados a raíz de su designación como Patrimonio Mundial (2021). Esto resalta la necesidad de investigar sobre los conflictos inscritos en dicho proceso de patrimonialización, con la finalidad de generar una reflexión sobre lo que podría ser una gestión coherente con la diversidad de realidades incluidas en el territorio. Para ello, nos apoyamos en los resultados de una experiencia etnográfica de participación en el proceso de elaboración del Expediente de Nominación como Patrimonio Mundial, así como en un ejercicio de reflexión (auto) etnográfica, con la finalidad de analizar tanto el proceso como su resultado. A partir de esta reflexión y desde un enfoque crítico, se plantea una propuesta de modelo de gestión para este conjunto patrimonial-territorial, compuesto por cuatro áreas de discusión que singularizan esta experiencia regional, permitiendo una vinculación del patrimonio como recurso para el desarrollo desde una perspectiva sostenible y participativa.es-ES
