dc.descriptionThis paper analyzes Jorge Alessandri Rodríguez’s 1964 constitutional reform project, which sought to amend the 1925 Constitution, on the grounds that it did not provid adequate mechanisms to ensure effective governance of the State. It will be demonstrated thah this project has characteristics of technocratic constitutionalism, unprecedented in our constitutional history, as well as evidence that it had an impact on subsequient constitutional reforms, including some principles of the 1980 Constitution.en-US
dc.descriptionEn este trabajo se analiza el proyecto de reforma constitucional de Jorge Alessandri Rodríguez de 1964, que buscaba modificar la Constitución Política de 1925, al estimar que no proporcionaba los mecanismos adecuados para asegurar una gobernabilidad efectiva del Estado. Se demostrará que dicho proyecto tiene características de un constitucionalismo tecnocrático, inédito en nuestra Historia Constitucional, además de evidenciar que tuvo alcances en las reformas constitucionales venideras, inclusive en algunos principios de la Carta Fundamental de 1980.es-ES
