| dc.description | This article argues that Chile, despite having signed international agreements in United Nations conferences that recognize youth as having rights in the area of sexuality, does not broadcast these rights or develop specific public policies so they can exercise them. This is due to the existence of factual powers as the hierarchy of the Catholic Church that imposes a conservative speach. The article addresses a ‘rights’ approach, whereby the design and implementation of sex education programs should respond to the needs of young people. | en-US |
| dc.description | Se sostiene en este artículo que Chile, a pesar de haber suscrito acuerdos internacionales en Conferencias de Naciones Unidas que reconocen como sujetos de derechos a las y los jóvenes en el ámbito de la sexualidad, no difunde estos derechos ni desarrolla políticas públicas específicas para que puedan ejercerlos. Esto se debería a la existencia de poderes fácticos como la jerarquía de la Iglesia Católica que impone un discurso conservador. El artículo aborda un enfoque de derechos, según el cual el diseño e implementación de programas de educación sexual debe responder a las necesidades de las y los jóvenes. | es-ES |
