dc.descriptionThe author poses us with an allien confrontation: Bush’s Bible against the Taliban’s Koran. Bush's God against the Taliban’s Allah. What a World! What we do we have to do with that? This episode –says- is a greater expression of the situation where those who kill commit suicide, and then aspire to heaven where they would receive compensation for their merits. The author refers to the mentality of the Crusades, which earlier confronted Christianity with the Muslim world; and then develops a counterpoint to the September 11 military coup in Chile and the attack on the Twin Towers, arguing that with the collapse of the towers global civil war begins. On contrast, he rescues the search for ways out of this situation raised by the ralternative movement, which he suggests to strengthen in order to prevent worse future disasters. The real dilemma, he says, is between common good and barbarism.en-US
dc.descriptionEl autor nos sitúa frente a una confrontación ajena: la Biblia de Bush en contra del Corán de los talibanes. El Dios de Bush en contra del Alá de los talibanes. ¡Qué Mundo! ¿Qué tenemos que ver con eso? Este episodio –dice- es una expresión mayor de la situación donde los que asesinan cometen suicidio, y aspiran luego al cielo donde recibirían la compensación por sus méritos. Recoge el autor la mentalidad de las cruzadas, que ya confrontaron al cristianismo con el mundo musulmán; desarrolla luego un contrapunto entre los 11 de Septiembre del golpe militar en Chile y el ataque a las Torres Gemelas; y sostiene que con el derrumbe de las torres empieza la guerra civil global. Frente a esto rescata las búsquedas de salida planteadas por el movimiento alternativo, que propone reforzar para evitar futuras catástrofes peores. La verdadera disyuntiva, agrega, es entre bien común y barbarie.es-ES
