dc.descriptionThis qualitative study explores the practices and knowledge of indigenous women who are social leaders of the Chilean Atacama region. Through life stories, the research participants narrate experiences and beliefs associated with their identity as Colla women. The narrative exercise allows us to delve into other topics such as migratory processes, cultural expressions, social relations and power dynamics within their communities.The research is based on the Grounded Theory of Glaser and Strauss (1970), which is why we turn to its theoretical and methodological aspects in the approach and analysis of the subject under investigation.The knowledge provided by this study contributes to the cultural heritage of the Colla people and to the development of studies and research that give value to indigenous women from the north of the countryen-US
dc.descriptionEstudio cualitativo que indaga en las prácticas y saberes de dirigentas sociales indígenas de la región de Atacama, Chile. Las participantes de la investigación, a través de historias de vida, narran experiencias y creencias asociadas a su identidad como mujeres Colla. El ejercicio narrativo permite ahondar en otros temas como procesos migratorios, expresiones culturales, relaciones sociales y dinámicas de poder al interior de sus comunidades.La investigación tiene como referente la Teoría Fundamentada, por ello se acude a sus aspectos teóricos y metodológicos en el abordaje y análisis del tema investigado. Los saberes que entrega este estudio contribuyen al acervo cultural del pueblo Colla y al desarrollo de estudios e investigaciones que den importancia a las mujeres indígenas del norte del país.es-ES
