dc.description	El presente artículo aborda la relación de la Corte Penal Internacional con América Latina y el Caribe. El autor hace un repaso del proceso de ratificación del Estatuto de Roma en los países de la región y de la progresiva implementación de leyes nacionales que tipifican los delitos del Estatuto. Además, expone cual ha sido la labor de la Fiscalía de la Corte Penal Internacional en los últimos años y los principales criterios que ha adoptado para iniciar exámenes preliminares. Sobre la base de estas consideraciones, el autor analiza la función que ha desarrollado la Fiscalía de la Corte Penal Internacional en América Latina, específicamente respecto a sus exámenes preliminares en Colombia y Honduras. Finalmente, reflexiona en torno a la función de la Fiscalía en América Latina y a la necesidad de fortalecer la labor de la Corte Penal Internacional en la región.	es-ES
dc.description	This article talks about the relationship of the International Criminal Court with Latin America and the Caribbean. The author goes through the ratification process of the Rome Statute within such countries and of the progressive implementation of national laws that typify the crimes of the Statute. In addition, it is pointed out which has been the role of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in the last years and the main criteria that it has adopted to initiate preliminary exams. Based on these considerations, the author analyses the function developed by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in Latin America, regarding specifically its preliminary exams in Colombia and Honduras. Finally, it discusses the function of the Prosecutor in Latin America and the need of strengthening the International Criminal Court in the region.	en-US
