The decades of democratic transition implied an unprecedented development of the Organizations of the Civil Society (OCS), such as citizen participation alternatives which we call the Third Sector with a high degree of heterogeneity. Among them, the emergence of those formed by elderly people is emphasized. The question guiding the development of the present work inquires upon the type of participation of elderly people in these organizations made up almost exclusively by volunteers, their perception of them, as well as their quality (on the part of their civic members as well as the staff employees who work with them) in the geographical location of the city of Buenos Aires.   es-ES
