| dc.description | The portrait is fundamental in the proclamations to acknowledge the new King and just accesory in the funeral, in which the sermons about his virtues are more considerated. The image presides the proclamation act and multiplies in a ubicuous manner in the posterior festive stage, but it does not appears more in public until the time of the funeral. It is easy to move from the veneratiom to the cult of the Royal figure into a public liturgy of gestures and words, and even a private cult. Thus, the King's portrait, from the useful fiction that "is like" the King, contributes to create a sensation of a "presence" of the Monarch destined to captivate the strong loyalty of the vassals. | en-US |
| dc.description | El retrato es fundamental en las proclamaciones para dar a conocer al nuevo Rey y sólo accesorio en las exequias, en que cuentan más los sermones sobre sus virtudes. La imagen preside el acto de proclamación y se multiplica ubicuamente en el período festivo posterior, pero no aparece más en público hasta el momento de las exequias. Fácil es deslizarse de la veneración al culto de la Real efigie en una liturgia pública de gestos y palabras, y aun a un culto privado. De esta suerte, el retrato del Rey, desde la útil ficción de que es "como si" fuera el Rey, contribuye a crear la sensación de una "presencia" del Monarca destinada a captar la firme adhesión de los vasallos. | es-ES |
