| dc.description | Hoy es posible afirmar que se encuentran expresados en la Carta Magna de León aquellos principios que constituyen la base del modelo de Estado que hoy denominamos Estado Constitucional. Pilares fundamentales de nuestra actual institucionalidad, como lo son el reconocimiento y protección de los derechos individuales, el Estado de Derecho y la limitación al Poder Público, tienen sus orígenes precisamente en la Europa Occidental de la Temprana y Alta Edad Media, más específicamente en las Cortes de León, que bien han sido reconocidas como las primeras Cortes Democráticas Europeas. Estos principios, progresivamente arraigados, se vieron difundidos tanto en la Baja Edad Media como en la Época Moderna al resto de Europa y América, adquiriendo finalmente su fisonomía contemporánea por medio de la difusión que le otorgaron las obras de doctrina política de los autores de la Ilustración. | es-ES |
| dc.description | Today it is possible to affirm that the principles that constitute the basis of the model of State that today we call the Constitutional State are expressed in the Magna Carta of León. Fundamental pillars of our current institutionality, such as the recognition and protection of individual rights, the Rule of Law and the limitation to Public Power, have their origins precisely in the Western Europe of the Early and High Middle Ages, more specifically in the Cortes de León, which have been well recognized as the first European Democratic Courts. These principles, progressively rooted, were spread both in the late Middle Ages and in the modern era to the rest of Europe and America, finally acquiring its contemporary appearance through that granted by the works of political doctrine of the authors of the Enlightenment. | en-US |
