| dc.description | Junto con los primeros letrados, llegaron a Indias también las imágenes sociales y estereotipos negativos sobre la profesión de abogado. Frente a esas críticas, se originó en el siglo XVI una literatura de afirmación profesional. El jurista indiano Juan de Matienzo, cuando era aún Relator de la chancilleria vallisoletana, y no pensaba pasar a Indias, escribió su libro: Dialogus Relatoris et Advocati Pintiani Senatus , en el que miraba con desconfianza el gobierno de los hombres de capa y espada, considerando que los mejores administradores del Perú habían sido los letrados que, como no integraban la aristocracia, mostraban mayor fidelidad a la corona que a sus linajes, por lo que gobernante ideal, a su juicio, debería ser el virrey-letrado. | es-ES |

Faced with such criticism, it originated in the sixteenth century a literature of professional affirmation. The American jurist Juan de Matienzo, when he was still Rapporteur of the Chancery of Valladolid and did not think moving to America, wrote his book: Dialogus Pintiani Advocati Relatoris et Senatus, which regarded with distrust the government of swashbuckling men, considering that the best managers of Peru had been the lawyers who, not made up the aristocracy, showed greater fidelity to the crown than to their lineages, so the ideal ruler, to his view, should be the lawyer- viceroy. | en-US |
