| dc.description | The aim of this paper is understand from the occupational therapy perspective, about benefits of using horticulture as means of intervention that responds to therapeutic objectives in different areas of performance, and at the same time, linking occupational therapy to a major social problem, the current environmental deterioration. This comes from the internalization that the person modifies the environment through their occupations, which emerges as final reflection that occupational therapists must take an active role, facilitating and promoting ecologically friendly occupations, in order to achieve the person well being, thus generating a sustainable society. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente ensayo tiene como objetivo comprender desde la mirada de terapia ocupacional los beneficios de la utilización de la horticultura como un medio de intervención, actividad que responde a objetivos terapéuticos en las distintas áreas de desempeño y, a la vez, vincular a la terapia ocupacional a una problemática social mayor, el actual deterioro medioambiental. Esto deviene de la reflexión en torno a interiorizar el impacto que las persona ejercen en el medioambiente a través de sus ocupaciones. Proponiendo como comentario final que los y las terapeutas ocupacionales deben tomar un rol activo, facilitando y promoviendo ocupaciones ecológicamente amigables, en pos de lograr el bienestar de la persona, generando así una sociedad sostenible. | es-ES |
