La investigación consta de dos etapas: 1º implementación de la intervención temprana en forma de talleres participativos con mujeres embarazadas, para  facilitar los conocimientos de apropiadas experiencias sensoriales/motoras/vinculares del niño e intensificar la confianza de la madre en sus capacidades maternas. 2º: Evaluación del desarrollo integral hasta los 6 meses del bebé;  para evaluar (valorar, medir)  el impacto de la intervención con modalidad de talleres. Estos se desarrollan en un nuevo campo de la Terapia Ocupacional, destinado a colaborar en los equipos interdisciplinarios en el área de embarazo. Diseño: cuasiexperimental, de corte longitudinal. Población: mujeres embarazadas que concurrieron al Curso Psicoprofilaxis del parto y sus bebés desde el nacimiento hasta los 6 meses, en Centro de Salud Pública. Técnicas utilizadas: Entrevista  estructurada y semiestructurada, Escala de Evaluación del Desarrollo Psicomotor de Rodriguez, Arancibia y Undurraga, Observación no participante (Diagrama de Observación del Vínculo madre-bebé de Oiberman), Observación participante y registro de información en los talleres, Recopilación documental (historias clínicas).  Hasta la fecha se realizó la 1º etapa, con desarrollo exitoso de los talleres, alta participación, avidez de información  de las mujeres, observándose mayor seguridad en las madres, mayor acercamiento y participación en los controles del niño sano.
