| dc.description | El riesgo de maremoto no está reconocido en la Ordenanza de General de Urbanismo y Construcciones, ni fue incorporado como amenaza al uso del suelo urbano desde el terremoto 9,5 y maremoto del año 1960, fecha en que murieron 2.000 personas aproximadamente. Al repetirse esta catástrofe el 27 de febrero de 2010, se provee una oportunidad para que la planificación urbana se convierta en un mecanismo para repensar el uso del suelo y para volver a habitar la costa Chilena, pero garantizando la seguridad ciudadana que, en la constitución de la República de Chile, se establece como derecho. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The tsunami risk is not incorporated in the Chilean Regulation of Urbanism and Construction (OGUC), nor has it ever been considered a threat to urban land use, despite the tsunami and 9.5 scale earthquake in 1960, which killed 2,000 people. The repetition of such a catastrophe in the recent earthquake of February 27th, 2010, offers an opportunity to transform urban planning systems into a mechanism to rethink land use and reinhabit the Chilean coastline, while guaranteeing the safety of the population – a right of all citizens as declared in the Chilean constitution. | en-US |
