Resumen: El presente trabajo intenta explorar las conexiones entre poesía y performance en Chile durante los últimos veinte años. Específicamente, se estructura en torno a la pregunta de por qué en este contexto diversos creadores trabajaron y están trabajando ambos formatos de manera sostenida. Para ello, esta investigación parte por desarrollar una definición puntual del término performance, además de brevemente trazar líneas respecto a la poesía. A continuación, se sintetizan los antecedentes del período en estudio, recorriendo el trabajo de creadores que precedieron y/o influyeron en el de los actuales y que también trabajaron ambos formatos. Finalmente, el tema se discute en torno al trabajo de tres poetas/performers chilenos contemporáneos en actividad: Eli Neira, Pablo Lacroix, y Diego Ramírez (Moda y Pueblo). Respecto a ellos no sólo se analizó su obra, sino que además fueron entrevistados para poder generar respuestas más amplias en torno a las inquietudes de este estudio. Abstract: This paper attempts to explore connections between poetry and performing arts in Chile during the last twenty years. Specifically, it is structured around the question of why in this context several creators were and are working both formats in a continuous way. The research starts by developing a specific definition of the term performing arts, apart from briefly developing a few guidelines about poetry. Next, some antecedents to the studied period are summarized, discussing the production of previous creators who worked both formats and influenced today's artists. Finally, the topic of discussion is based on the work of three contemporary Chilean poets/performers in current activity: Eli Neira, Pablo Lacroix, and Diego Ramírez (Moda y Pueblo). On that respect, we can say that we do not only analyzed their work, but also we interviewed them in order to generate broader answers about the concerns of this study.
