Abstract

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the vocabulary of Arabic origin most frequently used in contemporary Spanish, introduced by way of translation. Translation will not be understood in the strict linguistic sense of translated books, but as any type of communication between two languages and cultures through several channels, in this case, the press. Hence, writers and press reporters become translators as they decide what and how to write. The analysis follows a mixed approach: linguistic-translational and sociocultural.
