| dc.description | El artículo estudia el tipo de racionalidad que estaría en juego en el proceso de fundación de las ciudades coloniales en América. Se pretende establecer que la conquista-urbana del siglo XVI no sería la materialización de una supuesta razón clásico-cartesiana, ni tampoco la condición de posibilidad del sueño moderno de ordenamiento total de lo real. Por el contrario, la dinámica urbanizadora obedecería más bien a criterios prácticos y necesidades coyunturales que intentaban responder a las condiciones de vulnerabilidad que enfrentaron los conquistadores. Dicha hipótesis se demuestra describiendo el fenómeno del nomadismo de los complejos urbanos hispanoamericanos, estudiado por Alain Musset. Esta investigación evidencia que la ciudad colonial fue el resultado de una serie de hechos sobrevenidos y que el poder colonizador siempre estuvo condicionado por realidades contingentes y por las prácticas específicas de castellanos e indígenas.The article studies the kind of rationality that would be at stake in the process of founding of colonial cities in America. It is intended to establish that the conquest-urban during sixteenth Century would be the realization of a supposed classic-Cartesian reason, nor the condition of possibility of modern dream of total order of reality. By contrast, the urbanizing dynamic obey to practical criteria and situational needs that tried to respond to the vulnerability faced by the conquerors. This hypothesis is shown by describing the phenomenon of nomadism of Hispanic urban complexes studied by Alain Musset. This research shows that the colonial city was the result of a series of supervening facts and that the colonizing power was always conditioned by contingent realities and specific practices of Spaniards and Indians. | es-ES |
