RESUMEN: El presente trabajo es de carácter descriptivo, el cual pretende  analizar y describir el turismo en Dubai  y las implicancias de este en el medio ambiente entre el año 2007 y el 2011. Además se busca  identificar principalmente los grandes proyectos turísticos llevados a cabo por el gobierno de Dubai, así como también los proyectos inmobiliarios privados que potencian fuertemente al sector turístico. Otro punto es analizar los efectos  de la mayor población turista y el desarrollo comercial en el stock de los recursos; hídricos y energéticos. El trabajo consiste en una revisión bibliográfica de distintas fuentes de información de tipo secundaria. Se logra inferir que la mayoría de los turistas son de altos recursos, lo cual se manifiesta en el tipo de hotel en el cual se hospedan, también se infiere que el aumento de turistas a tenido efecto sobre la disponibilidad de agua y energía eléctrica para lograr abastecer un país en rápido crecimiento. ABSTRACT: This work is descriptive, which aims to analyze and describe tourism in Dubai and the implications of this in the environment between 2007 and 2011. Also identify mainly the large tourist projects undertaken by the government of Dubai, as well as private real estate projects that enhance tourism strongly. Another point is to analyze the effects of increased tourist population and commercial development in the stock of resources, water and energy. The work consists of a literature review of various sources of secondary type information in order to analyze the development of tourism in Dubai and environmental implications that this entails. According to the above is achieved by inferring that most tourists are high-resource, which is manifested in the kind of hotel where you stay, can also be inferred that the increase of tourists had no effect on water availability and supply electricity for a country to achieve rapid growth.
