| dc.description | RESUMEN: En la Zona I del Ecuador específicamente en la provincia de Imbabura se encuentra ubicada la Ciudad del Conocimiento Yachay, sitio en el cual por sus características académicas y tecnológicas paulatinamente se ha convertido en un atractivo turístico con un flujo importante de visitantes, razón por la cual esta investigación busca identificar la oferta de servicios turísticos y determinar el perfil y las características de la demanda que visita esta zona. Mediante la aplicación de una metodología bibliográfica y de campo fue posible definir los principales elementos presentes en la oferta y la demanda que visita Yachay, este análisis en primer lugar define los atractivos e instalaciones turísticas más importantes de la zona, luego analiza la información básica de los turistas, a continuación se investigaron las motivaciones del viaje, y por último, mide el nivel de satisfacción de los turistas al finalizar el recorrido. En el desarrollo se indica la estructura del proyecto Yachay, su oferta académica, más adelante se enfatiza la zona turística y además se detalla el flujo de turistas que visitan la zona. Al final el estudio concluye con una visualización de las características sobre la demanda turística en Yachay. Palabras clave: Yachay, Turismo, Oferta, Demanda. Abstract: In the Zone 1 of Ecuador specifically in the province of Imbabura is located Yachay the City of Knowledge, n this site for their academic and technological characteristics gradually has become a tourist attraction with a significant flow of visitors, important reason because this research seeks to identify the range of tourist services and determine the profile and characteristics of the tourists that visit this area. By applying bibliographic and field methodology was possible to define the main elements in the supply and demand Yachay visiting, this analysis first defines the major tourist attractions and facilities in the area, then discusses basic information tourists, then travel motivations were investigated, and finally, measures the level of satisfaction of tourists. The research shows the structure of the Yachay project, its academic offerings, the tourist area and emphasizes the flow of tourists who visit the area.
