| dc.description | RESUMEN: El presente artículo aborda el estudio del humedal costero de Villa del Mar partiendo de comprender al territorio como un sistema complejo y dinámico caracterizado por la multiplicidad de variables que interaccionan en el mismo buscando los elementos que lo identifican. De este modo, se plantea una interpretación del patrimonio natural y cultural que son compartidos por los actores locales y que permiten cierto reconocimiento externo del territorio. A partir de dicha interpretación se propone la creación de productos turísticos con identidad territorial como estrategia de desarrollo local. Se busca que la identidad territorial constituya el eje de los productos turísticos posibilitando la revalorización de las componentes culturales fortaleciendo la identidad local y propiciando el desarrollo. La metodología empleada consiste en un análisis multicapas, a través del cual se permite abordar la complejidad territorial, ya que, las diversas capas estudiadas mantienen entre sí una interrelación intrínseca entre los procesos naturales y culturales. A su vez se presentan los resultados de información obtenida a partir de encuestas diseñadas con el objetivo de conocer la opinión de la comunidad y su percepción respecto al patrimonio territorial que la identifica. ABSTRACT: The following article presents the study of Villa del Mar's coastal wetland. It is important to start by comprehending the land as a complex and dynamic system characterized by multiple variables which interact within the land, searching for the elements that identify it. It is presented, thereby, an interpretation of the natural and cultural patrimony which is shared by the local actors and enables the external acknowledgement of the land. As a result of this interpretation,the generation of touristic products with territorial identity as a strategy for local development are proposed. The aim is that the territorial identity constitutes the axis of touristic products, revaluing cultural components, strengthening local identity and contributing to local development. The applied methodology consists of a multilayered analysis, through which the territorial complexity is dealt with, because the different layers analysed keep an intrinsic interrelationship between the natural and cultural processes. At the same time, the results from the survey research are presented with the purpose of knowing the community's opinion and their perception regarding the local patrimony.
