| dc.description | Editorial: El turismo en reconocido como un sector de la economía que genera impacto en las comunidades donde se desarrolla. Los impactos positivos se derivan principalmente por la mayor actividad económica que provoca en las regiones dedicadas al turismo, permitiendo generar nuevas fuentes de ingreso y empleo para las comunidades. Sin embargo, el mayor flujo de turistas a una región no sólo provoca mayores beneficios sino que también tiene algunos aspectos adversos derivados de la mayor presión que el flujo de viajeros provoca. Por ejemplo, aumenta la cantidad de basura, tráfico, y presión sobre los recursos naturales. Lo anterior, requiere una gestión proactiva de los municipios para no afectar a sus habitantes y la calidad de los distintos lugares de recreación. El presente volumen se orienta principalmente analizar el turismo en distintas zonas del mundo, identificando sus efectos sobre la sociedad. The positive impacts are primarily derived from increased economic activity resulting in regions dedicated to tourism, allowing the generation of new sources of income and employment for the communities.
