| dc.description | El ahorro y la vivienda higiénica, en reemplazo del malgasto de dinero y del conventillo, fueron dos grandes intereses de grupos políticos y de la esfera pública al comenzar el siglo pasado. En plena época de ‘cuestión social’, el llamado y la acción a mejorar la calidad de vida y el perfeccionamiento moral de la población urbana fueron maneras de buscar estabilidad social así como trabajadores adaptados al sistema de producción capitalista. Sin embargo, no todos podían responder a este llamado y convertirse en propietarios. Solo los sectores con capacidad de ahorro acogieron una política que pretendía moralizar y cambiar los inadecuados comportamientos de los sectores populares. | es-ES |
| dc.description | Saving and sanitary housing, replacing waste of money and tenements, were two great interests of political groups and the public sphere at the beginning the last century. In the era of ‘social issue’, the call and action to improve the quality of life of the urban population and moral improvement, it was a way to achieve social stability and workers adapted to the system of capitalist production. However, not everyone could respond to this call and become homeowners. Only sectors with saving capacity embraced a policy change that sought to moralize and change inappropriate behavior of the masses. | en-US |
