| dc.description | Este artículo tiene por objetivo analizar la experiencia histórica de los trabajadores chilenos organizados en la FOCh en su lucha por el derecho de asociación y de huelga durante la situación de crisis terminal del Estado liberal oligárquico. Entre 1921 y 1924, los gremios patronales llevaron adelante una fuerte ofensiva contra los sindicatos. De este modo, la FOCh resistió con huelgas exigiendo el derecho de asociación, de negociación colectiva, el derecho de huelga y de libertad de prensa, en un periodo histórico en el cual todavía no existía un sistema moderno de relaciones laborales regulado por una legislación laboral. La lucha por el reconocimiento de estos derechos democráticos no constituyó una pérdida de autonomía política frente al Estado. | dc.description | This article has the objective to analyze the historical experience of the Chilean workers organized in the FOCh in their struggle to defend right of association and strike during the situation of terminal crisis of the oligarchic liberal State. From 1921 to 1924, the employers’ organizations made a strong offensive strategy against the trade unions. In this way, the FOCh resisted with strikes demanding right of association, collective bargaining, right to strike and freedom of press in a time when a modern system of labor relationships regulated by a labor legislation didn’t exist. The struggle of recognize this democratic rights doesn’t amount a loss of political autonomy facing the State. On the contrary, this contributed to fortify the federated workers trade union. | en-US |
