| dc.description | This article compiles and synthesizes much of the naval revolt that took place during the twentieth century, explaining the main features, and identifying common and specific elements. This revolts show a structural tension between officers and troops: the first ones are usually very conservative; but the second ones, increasingly qualified, are seeking a new social situation. Moreover, we note that the Chilean navy was one of the most shacked by this social crisis. To our knowledge, the systematic presentation of the social crisis in the Navy did not exist in Spanish literature about this issue. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este artículo recopila y sintetiza gran parte de las revueltas navales acontecidas a lo largo del siglo xx, exponiendo sus principales características, e identificando elementos comunes y específicos. Estas revueltas revelan una tensión estructural entre oficiales y tropa: los primeros son por lo general muy conservadores, mientras que la segunda, cada vez más calificada, está en busca de una nueva situación social. Además, constatamos que la Marina chilena ha sido la más sacudida por crisis sociales. Según nuestro conocimiento, la presentación sistemática de las crisis sociales en las fuerzas navales no existía en español. | es-ES |
