Abstract
Two documents prepared by the Governor of Easter Island (June and October 1973) allow us to approach and question the empowerment and agency of the Rapanui community, pre and post Military Coup, as well as some of the reasons for the positive assessment of the Pinochet Government. Dos documentos elaborados por la Gobernación de la Isla Pascua (en junio y octubre de 1973) permiten aproximarse y problematizar el empoderamiento y agencia de la comunidad rapanui, pre y post Golpe Militar, como también algunas de las razones de la valoración positiva del Gobierno de Pinochet.
