| dc.description | This article discusses the contributions of pioneer researchers of Chilean Andean ethnohistory. To meet this goal, first I explain the appearance of this scientific practice in Chile under the general development of the Andean ethnohistory. This provides a framework to examine some early publications that have been claimed as ethnohistorical and whose contributions are the central subject of this article. Finally, I summarize the outstanding features of this investigations and I compare them to the New Ethnohistory that began to develop when the pioneer stage closed. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este artículo abordo los aportes de investigadores pioneros de la etnohistoria andina chilena. Para cumplir con este objetivo, me centro en primer lugar en el surgimiento de esta práctica científica en el marco del desarrollo global de la etnohistoria andina. Lo anterior sirve de marco para examinar críticamente ciertas publicaciones tempranas del ámbito chileno que han sido reclamadas como etnohistóricas y cuyos aportes son el objeto principal del trabajo. En las conclusiones resumo las características salientes de las investigaciones pioneras, comparándolas además con la denominada Nueva Etnohistoria que empezará a desarrollarse a nivel local una vez clausurada la etapa considerada. | es-ES |
