Latin America arrived somewhat late, not long, to the Third World. Its proximity to the main capitalist power, its early decolonization and, for some time, a kind of "first world" indecisiveness, seems to explain this situation. From the point of view of international studies, the relations between Latin America and its peers should be of at least as much concern as its relations with the industrialized countries. These pages are intended to inquire about the type of intensity of relations between Latin America and those we have called "their equals." In short, it seeks to reflect on the events and days of that formidable and multifaceted conglomerate that everyone already knows as the Third World.América Latina llegó algo tarde, no mucho, al Tercer Mundo. Su cercanía de la principal potencia capitalista, su temprana descolonización y, por algún tiempo, una suerte de veleidad "primermundista", parecen explicar esta situación. Desde el punto de vista de los estudios internacionales, las relaciones entre América Latina y sus iguales debieran preocupar por lo menos tanto como las que mantiene con los países industrializados. Estas páginas pretenden indagar sobre el tipo de intensidad de las relaciones entre América Latina y aquellos que hemos llamado "sus iguales". Pretende, en suma, reflexionar sobre los hechos y los días de ese formidable y multifacético conglomerado que ya todos conocen como Tercer Mundo.
